In addition to fine art, I have also accomplished a great deal in the world of fashion. My clients include

  • The Ft. Worth Modern Art Museum Gift Shop
  • The Dallas Museum of Art
  • Mary McFadden Couture
  • Joan Vass
  • Textures Gallery
  • The Incubator

In 2005 I was invited to join The Dallas Fashion Incubator as an up and coming Fashion Designer. I have privately received encouragement from well-known names in fashion, such as Nicole Miller and Kim Dawson. I twice co-chaired the highly respected Career Day for Fashion Group International of Dallas as well as serving on their Board.

I have always been attracted to unique clothing that makes a statement. When I discovered my passion for painting on silk, it was a natural evolution to create art for people to wear. I love the creative process of making a beautiful garment out of a plain piece of cloth, whether it’s silk, cotton or a synthetic material. My pieces speak to the flow and joy of life when we let go to the deepest part of our souls. I help people express their individuality through my one-of-a-kind pieces. If they don’t find it already made, I’ll create it especially for them.
I prefer to paint on material that has already been fabricated. Thus I can get a flow in the garment that is a unified whole. This would be impossible if the seaming were done after the painting.

When I paint a garment, I work without a preconceived notion of the finished product. I let the garment speak to me and try to remain open to impulses coming from my unconscious. My goal is to paint what is meant to be painted through me. I view myself as an instrument and I am always in dialogue with the garment, the paint and the brush. I know a piece is complete when I feel a sense of completion within myself.
I paint everything from eyeglass cases to
  • Scarves
  • Wraps
  • Blouses
  • Shirts
  • Dresses
  • Dress/jacket outfits to mother-of-the-bride dresses
  • Destination wedding gowns

People can choose from pieces already painted, bring me something to paint or we can work with a dressmaker to design just the right piece for you.

I also have designed ways to hang my art-to-wear. Thus the same piece can be displayed as wall art one day and worn to a black tie event or with jeans the next day. My pieces are versatile, serving more than one function. My garments are one-of-a-kind signed art and are as beautiful on the wall as they are on the body.
